How To Prepare

We encourage delegates to read all of the resolutions that their assigned councils will be debating. It is advisable to prepare a research document to compile research for the topic being debated from your assigned countries perspective. Remember, MUN is not about your personal opinion.

Delegates wishing to submit resolutions should draft these prior to attending the conference in order to allow ample time for them to be approved once the Approval Panel opens at the conference.

Below you will find a list of some trustworthy and notable sources which will aid you in debate & preparing resolutions. We would like to encourage all delegates to aim to gather information from at least one of the following sources in order to ensure maximum credibility and minimal bias. Please note that ChatGPT and other similar AI chatbots are not credible sources, and should be used minimally when drafting resolutions, speeches, and arguments; this is to ensure the quality of debates and maximized enjoyment for all.

New delegates may attend the “new delegate workshop” hosted on the first day of the conference. We also recommend visiting the Delegate Handbook for information on debate procedure.

Delegates found consistently using AI tools to draft speeches, conduct research, or write resolutions may be sanctioned and face interventions from conference administrators. Please see our policies for more information.
