In the United Nations, the General Assembly is the main representative body, where every member state is allocated a seat.
If this is your first time attending an MUN conference or if you are an inexperienced debater, the General Assembly is a great place to start.

The Security Council is responsible for debating issues related to international security and peace. It is the only UN body capable of drafting legally binding resolutions, using definitive language to authorize military and peacekeeping interventions and establish sanctions.
The Security Council is the most fast-paced committee and has the smallest number of Delegates, typically consisting of the most experienced participants. Delegates must be 15 or older.

The Special Council debates issues that do not fall into a specific category. These issues may cover multiple topics and vary from session to session.

The Human Rights Council (HRC) is responsible for promoting and protecting human rights worldwide. It addresses human rights violations in both everyday situations and times of conflict.
Delegates must be 14 or older.
